Cranial Sacral Therapy
I came across Cranialsacral Therapy when I met a new friend and began doing some energy exchanges with her. I liked the feel of the treatment and, as well, it showed me how crooked I was. She was able to pin point some blockages in my body and remove them. During one of our exchanges, she suggested I may want to take my Level 1 CranialSacral Therapy, and I agreed. I thought it may complement my Reiki work and help me with scanning the body on another level.
I travelled to Vancouver and studied Level 1 CranialSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institiute. We had a great teacher and we all left there feeling better, knowing what we should work on – at least ourselves.
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle healing touch that works with the cranialsacral system of our body. This system extends from the skull down to the tailbone, including, the bones, tissues, nerves and fluids found within that system.
Cranial Sacral Therapy’s touch, no heavier than the weight of a nickel, can create dramatic improvements in your life by removing deep tensions while working with the soft tissues and fluid that protect our brain and spinal cord. With a feather light touch, the restrictions can be found and gently released, allowing your body to set the pace for repair.
Practitioners can evaluate the CST rhythm, different from our pulse and/or breath, and by freeing the central nervous system to work as it should, Cranial Sacral Therapy helps eliminate pain and stress. It has been shown to improve and relieve symptoms of migranes and headaches, chronic neck and back pain, stress, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, TMJ syndrome, learning disorders and many other conditions.
It is so gentle, it can be efffective on newborns, elders and everyone in between. It can be used alone or integrated with other healing modalities. Many massage therapists and chiropractors are using Cranial Sacral Therapy regularly in their practices.
