What a Joyous Life! June 22,2010

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

After the ups and downs of May and early June, I was pleased to see that once the new moon passed, the energy settled a little.  I was no longer driven to get things done, but still managed to.

I had taken a few weeks off from healing so that I could paint (wall kind of painting) but I began to miss the energy of Reiki healing. So asking for some students to appear, got me just that.  Then last week, I had two more wonderful women for the Munay-Ki rites and we spent three days in bliss and joy as we worked our way through the 9 Rites. What a gift to have students who really embrace the rites and are so committed to their path of learning. I invited my friend Katie along as she has a missing Pi stone and needed to charge up a new one.  Pi stones do that sometimes, they just leave for a while and then reappear when you least expect them to.

After that amazing three days, Katie and I headed off to Island Bridges ~  a gathering of people mostly working in the wholistic healing field, who retreat to the Native Healing Centre for a weekend of self-care. The venue, after 22 years on Meares Island, has now moved to the new healing centre, Kackaamin, here in Port Alberni. A beautiful place indeed.

My draw to the weekend was the anticipation of the Sweat Lodge. I had not been to a sweat for a few years now and they are great facilitators for rebirth.

We were lucky to have two lodge leaders:  J C, a Hesquiaht medicine man, and Munro, a Gaelic Shaman.

Speaking for myself, I can only say ~WOW!  Those sweats – I did three – cleaned me out, recharged me and allowed my vibrations to soar where I was gifted with many visions of beauty.

The weekend had many other high points, and I fully intend to return next year for this wonderful time.  I was reminded how our guides and masters love it when we gather in groups and send our prayers, love, light and laughter radiating out over the planet.

Returning home on Sunday, gave me time to prepare for the Solstice Celebration on Monday. Our group grew from the equinox gathering and we all celebrated the healing of the waters of the planet, particularly the Gulf of Mexico.

No matter what goes on there, group consciousness, group love, group light, singing, toning, drumming and seeing the Gulf in all its pristine beauty, free from strife, will do more for Gaia, our Beloved Mother Earth, than focussing on the negative will.  That is all that is asked of us now, to send love, to be love and to live love. Our planet, all those planets and stars around us, right down through to the crystal core of our own Mother Earth, responds to love. This power is unmeasurable.

There are so many exciting dates coming up where the universal energy is working to help raise our consciousness so that we feel this love always. June 26 is a full moon, lunar eclipse with 7 planets aligning to form a Grand Cross.

The OM crystal at Mt. Shasta is emitting another stronger wave of Hope and Unconditional Love, so that we may tap into, and be in, this energy.

On July 11 there is a solar eclipse.  Each of these events is here to aid us on our path.  The path of peace and harmony, the path of Ascension.

Please take 5 minutes, better yet, take 30 minutes a day out of your hectic lives and sit quietly in meditation, or in silence and feel love, send it out to all of humanity, all of our kingdoms and rejoice, knowing you have done your part. Doing this will indeed improve your own lives in ways you can’t imagine.  What we send out, is what we get back.  What a great way to live!  Namesté, Kate

Spring Equinox

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

The Spring Equinox came in with great celebration and the anchoring of one more phase in the alignment of our crystalline grid system for Mother Earth.

The intensity of the energies now enfolding our Beloved Earth can be confusing, tiring and energizing at the same time.

Many people are experiencing unrest, spikes in blood pressure, dizziness and detoxing cold symptoms that feel like allergies.  These are among a few of the unexplained results of our bodies adjusting to the new vibrations.

The evolution of humanity is unfolding, there is no doubt! So what do we do?

Go with the flow, at all times, go with the flow.  If you are experiencing any of the above, take a moment, breathe deeply a few times, go to your quiet place and sit, feel and listen within yourself.  Become aware of what your body, mind and spirit are trying to tell you.  Slow down your pace, take time for yourself and pay attention.  Is there some unfinished self business you need to take care of?  Have you let go of all those past digressions or resentments?  We are at a time when we have to realize that what has happened in the past is no longer relevant to our lives now.   Forgive everyone, forgive yourself and begin living  ”in the now”.  When we practise living  “in the now”, in the present moment, we are able to more fully engage with our true selves.  This makes our interactions/reactions to our environment on all levels, more real, more true and more at peace.  When we practice peace in the now moment, tomorrow takes care of itself.

It is time that we step into responsibility for ourselves and each other.  Disengage from those battles you think you need to fight.  Stop sending worry about people and things that we cannot control, into our surrounding energy field.  Stop blaming ~ whether it be people, circumstances or yourselves. Realize there is no blame.  It just is what it is!  Learn not to see problems, but opportunities to learn a new level of understanding.  Take responsibility and send love. Love yourself most importantly.  Then send love to those you see struggling, those you see angry, those you see smiling and then to those you don’t see.

Join in with the greatest opportunity any of us have ever been given, and live to the fullest.  Humanity is evolving, our DNA is reconnecting and we are being given a chance to create, through our thoughts, words and actions, a better world.  A world of love, peace and joyous celebration.  Let us all do this together.  Namesté, Kate

Should I?

Monday, November 9th, 2009

This question is one we could all do without.

We learn in life that we are happiest living without ever having to say “I should have, could have, would have”.  If something crosses our mind, we chose either to do it or not, say it or not.  If our intuition says yes, follow it and either do it or say it because you chose to, and want to, not because you “should” or have to.

Doing something out of duty, out of some misplaced sense of rightness leads to negativity deep within ourselves leaving an imprint in our Luminous Energy Field, or aura.  This in turn opens up the possibility of weakness in our LEF which in turn opens us up to ‘dis ease’  which can manifest on many levels through physical sickness, or emotional self disgust as we once again find ourselves doing something we don’t really want to do.

When we decide to do things from choice, from the heart, we have stepped into service.  Service for ourselves, our friends, our local community or our global community.  This changes the energy around the choice into something positive instead of negative.  All our choices ‘should’ be made with/from our intuition and then we cannot steer wrong. If we go with the flow, let go of all attachments and allow the universal energy to guide us along our chosen path, life happens.  A life of goodness, happiness, health and myriad possibilities.  Miracles can happen as we experience the river of positive energy flowing with us, carrying us along with no resisitance, only joy.  This, we should do.

Munay-Ki With The Q’ero

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I just had the honour of spending six days in the Colorado mountains at a place called the Shambhala Mountain Centre.  It is a 600 acre parcel of land in the stewardship of a Buddhist community of staff, 50 volunteers – all under the directorship of Sakyong Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche.  Their Great Stupa of Dharmakaya is a beautiful, powerful shrine indeed.

An even greater honour for me, was the sharing again of the 9 Rites of the Inca Medicine Way, known as Munay-Ki, in the presence of the Q’ero – Don Francisco and Chino.  They are direct descendents of the Laika, or Earthkeepers, who originally travelled from Siberia, across the Bering Straight and down through North America to settle in the Amazon and the Peruvian Andes.  They are the “gifters” of the Munay-Ki, bringing light and healing to the rest of the world.  As well, we were blessed with having Alberto Villoldo, his lovely wife Marcela Lobos, and Victoria Johnson, all spiritual warriors, healers and teachers of Munay-Ki.  Alberto is the founder of the Healing the Light Body School and the Four Winds Society.  To be in the company of so much Munay (love) was an honour I will never forget.

Words cannot describe the amazing transformation of many receiving the rites for the first time.  As a participant receiving these 9 Rites again, from such wise and gracious souls with their presence as wide as the Colorado sky, as high as the mountains and as warm and grounded as Pachamama (mother earth),  is a warm and fuzzy feeling that lives within my heart and soul.

There was a large group, 70 in all, and the energy, joy and Munay circling around us in the room was measurable. Every day the staff of Shambhala would say how wonderful it was to have us all “glowing” around their centre.

The first time I took these 9 Rites of Munay-Ki, they impacted on me so much that within a year I had changed my job and began to work with healing energy (Munay-Ki, Usui and Karuna Reiki and Cranialsacral Therapy) as an integral part of my life, knowing I was called to do this.  Now having being given the Munay-Ki again, I can feel the changes within me already, and I know this will be an even larger part of my work, my passion.

The lessons of the Q’ero, the teachings and healings of Munay-Ki are beyond words.  We are indeed dreaming our world into being and creating a world-wide community of luminous beings living from the heart. Munay Sonko!

From Bath in the UK

Hi everyone, I know I said I would write from Glastonbury but finding internet stations is more difficult than expected. I am limited here on my time and just want to say, Stonehenge was more than I expected – I have kept notes, recorded our days and will write when I am home as our days are absolutely filled with sightseeing and walking. Nameste to all, and I am so grateful for all this trip has opened up for me. Till later, love, light, peace and laughter, Kate

Anticipation

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Fourteen more sleeps and I am off on my great adventure to Glastonbury, the original Isle of Avalon and all the history, magic and secrets the area holds.

The time seemed to be moving so slowly, but on May 1st, everything changed again. I went to spend time with the ancient crystal skull, Sha Na Ra.

I had really been looking forward to this visit and originally my friend Judy and I were going to share the half hour, but it worked out we both had 30 minutes alone with it. We were grateful in the end, because I don’t think 15 minutes would have done it for either of us.

The energy of the skull, different for everyone, picked me up and carried me places I can’t name then about two hours later, sent me crashing into a ‘zone’ – another place I can’t name as I’m not sure where I was. I do know, while with the skull, I flew over an Alpine meadow, either with an eagle or as an eagle – I can’t say. I am still deciphering info but I have to say I came out of it feeling more grounded that I was in the weeks leading up to the visit. The anticipation of the skull and the trip was keeping me pretty well two feet off the ground.

I received my Karuna Reiki textbook for my course and I am thrilled about the promise the new symbols will bring to my healing.

The anticipation of it all sits like a ball in the core of my being as I feel the adventure calling to me. I am experiencing joy, excitement, laughter and great gratitude to the universe for bringing my dream to reality.

I look forward to being able to share my experiences with you all. The days are flying by now and I hope time slows again when I arrive on that sacred ancient ground.

Nameste, in peace, love, light and laughter, Kate

Perception

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

I have been thinking a lot lately about my relationships with the universe. Be it with a human, animal, plant or the earth, they are all important to me.

I realize how much I have grown when I notice how my perception of things has changed and I no longer struggle with relationships.

Coming from a large family and a larger, diverse group of friends, there is always some form of ‘drama’ so to speak, going on. Being able to step out of the box and not get caught up in the emotion of it all, really does offer a change of view. Being able to see the whole picture, feel all the emotions without becoming attached is a blessing indeed. When we realize there are no sides to take, we allow ourselves to perceive things differently. When we realize that every feeling we have is a valid emotion and take that a step further , to realize that other people’s feelings are valid to them, our ‘perception’ changes from one of defense to one of acceptance. This acceptance, or acknowledgement, of ourselves and others is a wonderful thing as we go from something negative to something positive. As we begin to accept that we are all different we can then embrace that diversity and our perception changes yet again.

As our perception changes – so does our attitude. We accept others more readily and find kinder words to say. We listen better, watch more closely and clearly and open ourselves to opportunities we may have missed before. We learn to celebrate our uniqueness and even if the experience is one we choose to disengage from, our whole perception of the matter changes as we come from a place of peace, love and understanding. Our relationships then, are true, and coming from our heart.

Another shift

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

On this past Thursday night as I settled down in bed, I felt a shift – you know – just an unitelligible whisper along the edges of knowing. I wondered which direction it would go – these shifts can be very confusing – so I settled in for the signs that would herald another phase.

I was still managing some pretty solid sleeps, a blessing as sleepless nights are the normal in these days of moving forward in ‘Mayan’ time. But things started to change. My laid back days were being energized. My week has filled with appointments – evenings mostly but I appreicate those as in the sunshine of day I can work on my own changes. Turns out, I needed to re-organize my back yard and my side garden. (I don’t have a large yard, a fact I am grateful for right now as I prepare in my countdown for Stonehenge – 54 days)

Yesterday morning I woke and knew the shift was in force. I could feel something was different. So it seems to be that I need to get things done but they don’t have to be ‘right now’. Yet enough gets done to notice the changes at the end of the day.

I’m ‘tired’ yet those sleep filled nights are back to nights of reading at 2 or 3 or 4, whenever I find myself laying there watching the moon cast its opalescent light in through my window. The moon is very oblongish right now, waxing to a full moon on Thursday night. In the morning, I may not have slept a lot, but I still feel ready to greet the day with a smile of gratitiude.

Grandmother moon loves nothing better than to shine her light upon us. She is, as are all moons, reflections of planetary feelings. As she is channeled by Barbara Hand Clow, she is ‘like a great wave of feeling that rises, peaks and ebbs over twenty-eight days’. One of her lessons is that mastery of ourselves is based on whether we deal with our emotions effectively. The moon itself, is perfectly balanced and we can learn a lot from her. Go with the flow as she cycles round and we begin to see really how basic and simple it is to manifest our path with less drama in our emotions.

I look forward to these shifts, the little messages I get – I awoke two mornings ago saying aloud ‘you are wanted, you are needed’ and this morning when I awoke, I knew I had just read three pages of great informative writing – now if I could just learn to have instant recall I would remember what I read. It may come, maybe that is what this shift will bring…..or maybe it’s just a subliminal message for me that I’ll figure out eventually. Not sure yet, but I’m looking forward to knowing.

My First Blog

Monday, March 9th, 2009

So here I am, a techno peasant, excited about launching my website and writing my first blog.

I can’t say I’ve imagined myself in this position but must have as it is here and feels great.  And feeling great about this reminds me of  how thankful I am to Renee at ESC who suggested I may want a website, and when I said, “yes, let’s do it”  ran with it and took me along with her.  I honestly thought I’d just sit back and see it happen.  I never thought it would entail so much writing on my part, not to mention  site planning.  The only site planning I’ve done up till now is figuring out where the tent and kitchen area are going in the campsite.  Anyways, I love my site and hope you enjoy it also.

I feel lucky to be at home, doing what I love best.  Reiki for me, is something I need to do and I feel so good after  giving a session that I am truly grateful to all my clients, and am happy to send them on their way feeling lighter in heart, mind, body and spirit.

In this time of our lives, with so much happening in the world, people can’t help feeling stressed.  As the earth follows the sun into alignment with the center of the Milky Way, all our planetary influences are changing.  On a planet that feels the moon’s influence as strongly as we do, we must bring our awareness to these other changes and realize we are all affected.   As we come to the end of the Mayan Calender, and look forward to living with a new heightened world consciousness, we have to remember to be kind to our planet.  It has provided us with a great home for generation after generation of family gone before us and will provide for our families yet to come, if we bring back the respect the earth deserves from us.

We also have to remember, we need to slow down, take stock of what is really important in our lives and remember who we truly are.  Munay Ki is a great facilitator of this process.  It reminds us to live with the intent to be kind, to live in joy, live with understanding and live with integrity.  It allows us to heal and shed our past as we look forward to a brighter future, one we can create with our kinder thoughts.

I am also looking towards an even brighter future, being able to share a bit of myself with you through the magic of technology.  Nameste, Kate
